The day details - It was a very hot day so we didn't start shooting until 1330 hrs. Myself and my mate Nick identified 3 small rape fields which was surrounded by standing wheat fields. there were two separate flight lines, so we set up on two different fields on these flight lines. Nick used a magnet and 20 full bodied decoys whilst I used a flapper and 15 HH Decoys in a horse shoe with the flapper at the front. The birds came in steadily for the rest of the day and we finished at 1900hrs with a total bag of 103 pigeons and two crows. Nick being top gun of the day with 56 pigeons and me with 47 pigeons and the 2 crows. After shooting my 100 cartridge bag empty and Nick also running out we packed up with birds still flighting in. The day details - Strong wind but a sunny day. Birds kept coming from when we arrived at 2 till when we left at 7. It was a good day had by myself and a friend.

The day details - It was a lovely sunny Sunday morning the field had just been drilled the day before the farmer had not sown the maize very well and left a lot spilled on the ground as it was sunny I used my new flock decoys and wobble sticks which I had jus got from n & s shooting supplies I must say they worked like a dream the pigeons just kept coming in with confidence I shot 70 birds to 85 cartridges my son Ryan(11)shot 17 birds to 30 cartridges with my old side by side oh yes and 2 crows as he has just reminded me we started shooting at 8 am and had ran out of ammo by 12pm cheers rob (north Somerset)

The day details - It was a cool morning with steady breeze and overcast, birds came into the decoys well. The day then became very sunny and hot with no wind, the birds then didn't decoy so well and none were shot after midday.

The day details - Started at about 12.30 pm with a slight breeze blowing into our faces. Action started before we got the guns out and did not stop till 4.45 pm. With 54 pigeons and 46 crows shot plus 92 on the same spot the week before. Who said lightning doesn't strike twice!

The day details - I set up under an oak tree at first light and within half an hour the birds started dropping in to my decoys. It went steady till about one then went dead so I took that time to sort out my pattern. I shot a few crows then the pigeons started coming in again at about three thirty it went mental. The birds were almost bombing my magnet I even had a pigeon fly right in to it. I ran out of cartridges at five and called it a day.
