Pigeon Watch logo - gun and pigeon

Wales, Cornwall and Devon

Pigeon Shooters name - Mike Colley
Part of UK bag was shot - Wales and Cornwall
Nickname in forum= MIKEC
The total number of pigeons shot = 3 and 1 crow
Gender - Male
The gun you used - 12 Bore
Bag Date - 12th November 2001
The Crop type - Drilled Corn
The day details - New drilled corn, there were a lot of pigeons about, only got 3 and 1 crow - I missed a lot, they were coming in alright. I could not conect with them, and I fired a lot of shots! I went back a few days later but I hardly saw a pigeon about, I hope to improve on this soon. I find these early nights are sending the pigeons into roost early.

My opinion This is not the biggest bag I have ever seen, to me that does not matter the fact is you went out there and tried and in doing so did the farmer a great favour by keeping the pigeons off his crops. The fact you could get the pigeons to come in to your pattern shows that you are doing well and every one has days when they shoot badly. I am not suggesting that you shot badly and instead congratulate you on bagging some pigeons at all. I am hardly one to talk as I have unfortunately not been able to go after pigeons for the last couple of months. Hopefully this will soon change!!

Pigeon Shooters name - Andrew Harriman
Part of UK bag was shot - Wales and Cornwall
The total number of pigeons shot = 5
Gender - Male
The gun you used - 12 Bore
Bag Date - 16/08/01
The Crop type -Cropped corn
The day details - The weather was bad - heavy showers during the afternoon, with sunny breaks in between. The pigeons were feeding in between the showers but they were very scarse and difficult to decoy in. I need alot more practice!!

My opinion Good to see that not everyone is a fairweather shooter you seem to have stuck it out throughout some pretty tough weather. It might not be the biggest ever bag but it seems like you had to work hard for the few shy pigeons that you shot! Well Done!

Pigeon Shooters name - David Retallack

The total number of pigeons shot = 1
Gender - Male
The gun you used - 12 Bore
Bag Date - 29th May
The Crop type - Wild weed in a daffodil field
The day details - It was a clear sky and hot, very slight breeze. Pigeons were feeding on arrival to the field, about 60 flew off. While I was there about 5 came back. I was shooting very bad.
